Middle Irish lyrical poem addressed to a certain Crínóc (‘dear old little thing’, a hypocoristic form of crín). Crínóc is lovingly described as an old, judicious woman, who had lain with the speaker as well as other men yet who is without sin. James Carney was the first to suggest that she personifies an old psalm-book that the speaker had turned to since the age of seven, i.e. when he first received his religious education.

Early Irish prayer which invokes St Patrick and was composed, according to the prose attribution, by either Niníne the poet (éces) or Fíacc of Sleibte (Sletty, Co. Laois).
Irish poem of prayer for protection (30 qq). According to the editor, O’Nowlan, qq. 1–19 represent the original extent of the poem, ending as it does with a dúnad, while the remainder (beg. Dá apstol déc Dé) is an invocation that was added to the text.

Early Irish religious poem which prescribes a set of moral guidelines that together make up ‘the rule of the Lord’ (ríagal in Choimded). Strachan, who first edited the poem, distinguishes between two recensions, A and B, both of which carry some interpolations of their own.
Prose anecdote about a soul released from hell through the mediation of prayer by an anonymous holy man (maybe St Gregory), including by a poem (8 qq) uttered by the soul in gratitude for his release.

A short Irish devotional story about a poor man of God who through prayer, made Christ reveal to him the nine things that are most pleasing to God. It provides a version of the so-called ‘nine answers’ or ‘nine virtues of Christ’, which circulated more widely in Europe, in both Latin and the vernacular, during the 14th and 15th centuries. It differs from another Irish version in which it is Albert of Germany who receives the responses. The present text comes with the statement that the miraculous incident took place in 1315 (mile bliadhna ⁊ tri cet ⁊ .u. bliadhna deg).
