On the day [of the battle of Cronnmhóin], brave men stood by the tree, under the leadership of Goll and Garad [st 2]; Daigre the harp-player, Conán, Áed and Art [st. 3]; Glas from Glais Lecach (‘stony stream’), Art of Mag foidfhinn, Conn from white Berramhain, Cas and Cannán [st. 4]; Rúad from Ráith na bhFían and from Finnros na Fían, Aongus from the Craibech, and Lám Trén from Líathdruim [st. 5]; and 1000 shield-bearers (sgíath-armach) of the ‘clann of Goll’s grandmother’ [Clann Morna] [st. 6].
