Ir. móin ‘bog’. The location is uncertain, but cf. the Sligi na Tána section of TBC II, where the itinerary of the Táin is said to take Medb’s army first to Mag Cruinn by the road of Tóm/Túaim Mona (‘mound or hillock of the bog’), located southeast from Crúachan Aí.
