The list of gnáthscéla (miscellaneous tales) which forms the opening section in version B of the medieval Irish tale lists (RIA 23 N 10, Rawl. B 512 and Harl. 5280; it is not found in version A). Many of these refer to individual episodes in Táin bó Cúailnge.

Tromdam Echach Aireman
Title referring to an episode of Tochmarc Étaíne. It is regarded as one of the three fore-tales (rem-scéla) to the Orgain brudne Uí Dergae, according to the LU version of the latter text (p. 99). The other two are given as Tesbaid Étaíne and Aisnéis síde Maic Óic do Midir Breg Leith ina síd. Marie-Henri D'Arbois de Jubainville, Essai d'un catalogue de la littérature épique de l'Irlande: précédé d'une étude sur les manuscripts en langue irlandaise conservés dans les Iles Britanniques et sur le continent (1883): 252–253.
