§ 10. A year before first meeting with Eochaid, Midir had already wood Étaín, whom he addressed as Bé Find, but was unsuccessful in the attempt. A poem (7 qq) is cited beg. ‘A Bé Fhind, in ragha lium’, in which the speaker invites Bé Find to join him in the delightful Otherworld. Étaín replies that she will go only if he obtains her from her husband.
