Historia Peredur ab Efrawg ‘The history of Peredur son of Efrawg’
- Middle Welsh
- prose
- Mabinogion
Middle Welsh Arthurian prose tale. It is often described, along with Owein and Gereint, as one of the ‘three Welsh romances’ because of their (supposed) dependence on the three romances of Chrétien de Troyes, the Conte du Graal, Yvain and Erec et Enide. Of these three relationships, that between Peredur and the Conte du Graal may be the most contentious. Peredur also contains many episodes that are unique to it.
