(Possible) sources: Vita Griffini filii ConaniVita Griffini filii ConaniThe original 12th-century Latin text of the life of Gruffudd ap Cynan, king of Gwynedd. While it was once assumed that no manuscript copy is extant and that the Latin text in Peniarth MS 434E is based on the Middle Welsh translation (Historia Gruffud vab Kenan), Paul Russell has argued that the latter is a redaction of the original Latin text, whose annotations and corrections were intended to align it with the Middle Welsh translation.
