The colophon (f. 61v) states that the MS was transcribed from a copy made by Giolla Riabhach Mór Ó Cléirigh. Of the two persons known in the relevant historical period as Giolla Riabhach Ó Cléirigh, one, son of Tuathal, has been identified as having been responsible for the Life of Colum Cille in Rawl. B 514.
