On dris (briar), here etymologised as consisting of der and uis, i.e. deróil (insignificant) and uis. Likewise, dreán (wren) is explained as deriving from der and én, i.e. a small insignificant bird, unless it is from drui-én, i.e. a bird that makes prophecy (fáitsine).
