Relates how Núadu the druid built the fort (dún) and rubbed alum (Ir. al(a)mu, cf. Lat. alumen) on the rock of the fort. The fort is white as a result, as if it had received the lime/chalk (áel) of Ireland. Hence Almu is so-named.

st. 17–20

Rejected by her father, Murni went to Tara (Temair find Fail) to ask advice from the king. Conn told her to go to Fíacail Fí, son of Conchend, and Cumall’s only sister Bodmall [gap in the MS]. Murni proceeded to Temair Mairgi, together with Conla, Conn’s gilla, and found both of them there. The meeting was joyful. She later gave birth to Finn.
These readings are tentative, as st. 17 and 18 are partly illegible in the manuscript. For the identification of Temair Mairge with what is now Turra, a townland in Co. Laois, see Nollaig Ó Muraíle, ‘Temair/Tara and other places of the name’ in The kingship and landscape of Tara... (2005): 460.
