- O Daly, who edited the poem (1962), suggests that compared to other material in NLI MS G 7, some of which is in Old Irish, the present poem is comparatively late, showing ”no sign of age”. She remarks on the use of prototonic for deuterotonic forms and the use of enech in the singular with the meaning ‘honour’ and probably ‘generosity’.
