[EN] The bronze pendant of Krusza Zamkowa.
One of the debated problems of Polish archaeology is the question of a Celtic presence in Kujawy area. In this region, was noticed a certain concentration of finds of Celtic origin, but the presence also of numerous inhumations, of structures interpreted as temples, and the existence of developed animal cults. The pendant found in a cremation burial, nr XXVIII, in site 13, Krusza Zamkowa (voj. Bydgoszcz), meets no close analogies. Its analysis leads to exclude any possibility of identifying it as an import of the Jastorf-culture. The Krusza Zamkowa pendant, therefore, can be classified amongst Celtic products. Its lower part has the shape of the four-spoked wheel, a frequent shape for the small metal pendants, spread on the whole territory of the La Tène civilization.
