Adnae son of Uthidir, a Connachtman, described as ‘ollam of Ireland in learning (éicse) and poetry (filidecht)’. His son Néde went to Scotland (Alba) to be trained in éicse by Eochu Echbél until he was skilled (eolach). [Rawl. adds Gruibne éces [i.e. poet of Feradach, king of Scotland] and one Crechduile to the list of teachers]
