Cú Chulainn is slain

Prose in the Rennes MS: Erc son of Cairpre Nia Fer beheads Cú Chulainn (contra TBC II-LL). Verse: notes that Erc was killed in revenge for Cú Chulainn, implying that Erc was at least an accomplice in the affair.
For the story of the death of Cú Chulainn and Erc's complicity in his death, see also Brislech Mór Maige Muirthemne and the later version, Oidheadh Con Culainn.
