The bachelor programme Celtic Languages and Culture at Utrecht University is under threat.


As an aside on Snám Dá Én (where Díarmait mac Cerbaill witnesses a flame ignited by St Ciarán), a brief dinnshenchas anecdote is related: Snám Dá Én (‘Swimming place of two birds’) is so called because here Nár son of Finnchad son of Conall Cernach killed two birds that were on the shoulder of Eistine the female warrior (banfhéinneda).
