Description
Abstract (cited)

This chapter discusses the publishing history of Irish anthologies in the nineteenth-century. These collections played a key role in the consolidation of ‘Anglo-Irish’ literature from the mid-nineteenth century onwards, and in the related occlusion of the duanaire, the anthology tradition of literature in Irish.
