Abstract (cited)
This brief study reminds us of the existence in ancient Celtic societies of «professionals of the memory», such as historians, genealogists, poets. They kept alive the main facts in the past of the community. We observe also a constant relationship between oral and written versions of many stories, so that the date of a manuscript is not the main criterion in delerming the age and value of a tradition.
