Description
Abstract (cited)

This chapter discusses the history of the works of James Clarence Mangan (1803–49), a prolific writer and the most significant Irish poet of the nineteenth century. While Mangan was read by many, he was known to only a few. This was because many of his contributions to periodicals were anonymous.
