What is now numbered pp. 1-100 originally comprised a separate manuscript, olim Hengwrt MS 25. This, in turn, consists of three parts, in three or four different hands, which J. G. Evans seems to regard as originally independent (Report, p. 331): (a) pp. 1-42 + 43-44, (b) pp. 45-78 and (c) pp. 79-90. The remaining leaves are blank, except for pp. 95-96.
