|Comments=Before its acquisition by the British Museum, this manuscript was one of five belonging to the Puleston family of Flintshire. In 1871, the Historical Manuscripts Commission wrongly classified the Cornish-language contents of the MS as Welsh.

|Comments=The British Museum acquired the Puleston papers in 1947 and assigned to them their present shelfmarks (Add. 46397-46399, 46399A, 46400). The presence of Cornish-language material in Add. 46397 had not yet been recognised until 1949, when John Mackechnie had occasion to inspect its contents. Mackechnie is known to been working on an edition, but did not live to complete it.
