See also note above. Formerly, a quire of 8 folia (14th century, ca. 1350) which was added in after the manuscript was bound in 1583. Taken from Llyfr Gwyn Rhydderch (Aberystwyth, National Library of Wales, Peniarth MSS 4-5) and referred to in modern scholarship as 'quire 22' of that MS; in 1940 removed from Peniarth 12 and reincorporated into Peniarth 4.
