The title of this work, Acta sanctorum veteris et maioris Scotiæ seu Hiberniæ, sanctorum insulæ (‘The acts of saints of the older and greater Scotia, or Ireland, island of saints’) is commonly abbreviated to Acta sanctorum Hiberniae.
