I : Thurneysen’s class B-V. Old Irish verbs such as -gnin are regular developments of nasal infix presents *-n-eh1- and *-n-eh3-, just as the class B-IV proceeded from those in *-n-eh2-.
II : Ro-laë and the perfects of laryngeal-ending bases. The fall of a laryngeal at a morphem boundary created a phonologically diphonematical, but prosodically monosyllabic cluster of two vowels. This development is not a phonetical one, but a consequence of the analysability of the words where it occurs. Hidden by apocope, it can still be recognized in the perfects of bases *CReH-, and allows to reconstruct them as regularly built perfects *Ce-CRoH- as in Avestan.
